The 'Goda' Thatched House is located at Goda village in Burdwan town in Purba Bardhaman district. The hut with two rooms is very different in architecture than any other hut found in the area. The roof of the hut is made of strips of bamboo, straw and rope, supported on bamboo and wooden logs.
The South facing house is made of brick and in the front there is a small porch with five pillars. It consists of an attached kitchen. The entire hut is constructed on a high plinth with a staircase.
